Our commitment to the safety of minors

VIVA applies a zero-tolerance policy towards any form of exploitation, abuse or endangerment of children.

1. Commitment against child exploitation

VIVA, the dating application dedicated to adult members of the Khoja Shia Ithna Asheri community, is firmly committed to fighting any form of exploitation, abuse and endangerment of children. We strictly prohibit any content, behavior or interaction involving minors for sexual, abusive or inappropriate purposes.

Any violation of these rules results in:

Immediate account deletion
Retention of evidence
Reporting to competent authorities

2. Prohibition of illegal content (CSAE & CSAM)

VIVA applies a zero-tolerance policy regarding:

  • Child sexual abuse material (CSAM)
  • Attempts at inappropriate contact with minors
  • Solicitation, blackmail or exploitation

We use human and automated moderation systems to detect and remove such content.

3. Access reserved for adult users

The use of VIVA is strictly reserved for persons aged 18 and over.

Measures in place:

Mandatory age declaration at registration
Immediate suspension of accounts suspected of belonging to a minor
Additional verification in case of doubt

4. In-app reporting system

Users can report:

  • Suspicious behavior
  • Inappropriate content
  • Any situation endangering a child

5. Compliance with child protection laws and standards

VIVA complies with all applicable laws and standards relating to the protection of children, including:

  • Malagasy legislation applicable to the protection of minors and the fight against child exploitation
  • International conventions on the rights of the child
  • Google Play CSAE (Child Sexual Abuse and Exploitation) policy
  • Apple App Store Review Guidelines relating to the safety of minors
  • Reporting obligations to competent authorities in case of discovery of illegal content

7. Ongoing commitment

We review our systems, policies and moderation tools at least every 12 months, as well as upon any relevant regulatory or technological change, in order to improve user protection and prevent any exploitation of children on our platform.
